Frequently Asked Questions
I Have a Question About Cosplay, Whom Should I Contact?
Please contact email@example.com.
Will There Be Prop Storage If My Prop Is Not Allowed at the Door?
No. There will be no prop storage. All props that do not meet our prop guidelines will need brought back to your car or thrown away.
Can I Use My Prop in The Cosplay Classic?
If it meets the prop policy for Denver Comic Con, absolutely! Props that do not meet the policy will not be allowed in the Colorado Convention Center. Also see denvercomiccon.com/show-info/policies/.
Am I Allowed to Take Pictures of Other Cosplayers?
Yes, but please be respectful and ask someone before taking their photograph. Do not try to sneak photos, because if you make someone feel uncomfortable, you may be asked to leave. Remember, Cosplay is not consent!
I Would Like to Have and/or Take Professional Cosplay Photos During DCC, is This Allowed?
Payment for photographs or similar services cannot be exchanged on Denver Comic Con premises or the Colorado Convention Center. This includes payment systems like the Square.
Any type of photography/video equipment that requires a tripod/stand or touches the ground is NOT allowed inside the Colorado Convention Center. This includes backdrops and lighting umbrellas. All cameras/lighting/flashes will need to be compact and handheld.
Can I Wear a Costume I Bought?
Purchased costumes are appropriate for The Kids Cosplay (ages 12 and under) or The Cosplay Catwalk.
What’s a “Cosplay Name” or Alias?
This is the name we will announce during your presentation. Some cosplayers like to have a “stage name” instead of using their own name (Jane Q. Public, for example, likes to go by Janie Q Cosplay). You may also use your legal name. Please keep in mind, we will need your legal name for registration.
Can My Kid(s) Be in the Show?
Kids 12 and under have their own portion of the event called The Kids Cosplay, a fun, non-competitive showcase. Kids go first so our littlest fans can still make bedtime!
